Privacy Policy

1. What we collect
Account data — name, email, company and role when you sign up (or your Google profile basics if you sign in with Google). Listing data — the yacht details and photos you publish. Enquiry data — the name, contact details and message you send a broker through an enquiry form. Technical data — IP address and basic request logs used for security and rate limiting.
2. How we use it
To operate your account and listings, to deliver your enquiries to the relevant broker or owner, to provide broker tools (leads inbox, analytics, distribution), to send transactional email such as verification and password-reset links, and to keep the platform secure. We do not sell personal data.
3. Sharing
When you send an enquiry, it is shared with the listing’s broker or owner so they can respond. If a broker enables distribution, their listing content (not buyer enquiries) is syndicated to the selected partner channels. We use service providers for hosting and email delivery under data-processing agreements.
4. Retention & security
We keep account and listing data while your account is active and delete or anonymise it when no longer needed. Passwords are stored hashed; access tokens are short-lived. Transport is encrypted (HTTPS).
5. Your rights
Depending on your location (including under the GDPR), you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, object to processing, or request portability. Write to info@yachtlisting.com and we will respond within the statutory period. You may also lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.
6. Cookies
We use strictly necessary storage to keep you signed in and remember preferences. We do not run third-party advertising trackers.
7. Charter bookings
When you book a charter, we process the booking data (dates, boat and price) to perform the contract between you and the operator. Payment data is handled by our payment processor — we never store bank details. Chat messages exchanged over the platform are stored for safety and abuse prevention. Booking records are retained for as long as our legal obligations require.
