Charter Terms of Service
Last updated: 3 August 2026
DRAFT — pending legal review (PACTA JURIS). Not yet in force.
1. The platform is an intermediary
YachtListing (“we”, “us”) provides the technical platform through which charter bookings are advertised, requested and confirmed. We are an intermediary only: the charter contract is concluded directly between the operator (and, where applicable, the selling broker) and the renter. We are not a party to the rental, we do not own or operate the vessels, and we do not act as carrier, charterer or fleet operator.
2. Roles
Operator — the company or owner who makes the vessel available for charter, is responsible for its condition, crew, licences and insurance, and performs the charter. Selling broker — an intermediary who, where involved, markets the charter to the renter and assists with the booking on the operator’s behalf. Renter — the person who books the charter, is responsible for the accuracy of the booking details, and must comply with the operator’s conditions of carriage and applicable law during the charter.
3. Fees
The operator bears a total distribution cost of approximately 20% of the charter price for bookings made through the platform. When a booking is made through a selling broker (broker channel), this consists of a 15% broker commission plus a 5% platform service fee. When a booking is made directly with the operator on the platform (direct channel), a platform service fee of approximately 20% applies. Fees are always carried by the operator out of the charter price — they are never added on top of the price shown to the renter.
4. Price integrity
Every vessel has one public price, and that price is the same everywhere it appears — on the platform, on partner channels and with brokers. Commissions and service fees are carved out of that price, not added as a markup. Operators and brokers may not advertise or charge a different price for the same charter on any channel, and listings that breach this rule may be suspended.
